Far to the remote area in Tobelo, there is a village on a riverside with crystal-clear water. This traditional village is well known as 'Wangongira' and has a uniqueness. The unique thing is the presence of rice plants growing in rushing river stream. The river where the rice grown is named Molulu which means slipping. The village is located in the region of Tobelo, North Halmahera, North Maluku province.
According to the legend, one day there is a grandmother who just returns from a paddy field and brings rice. Then the grandmother slips and is washed away by the stream. The rice that is brought by the grandmother then grows in the river until today.
