Pasirtimbul Island is one of the attractions in Tobelo, North Halmahera, North Maluku province. This island is uninhabited, located not far from the north of Meti Island. The unique name of 'Pasirtimbul' is inspired from the process of formation of this island which is quite phenomenal.
According to the local residents, Pasirtimbul is a new island formed naturally through the process of time since a few decades ago. Initially, it only looked like a mound of sand that extended over the time and form a small island.
Like Meti Island, Pasirtimbul Island also offers a stretch of fine white sand with crystal-clear sea water.
Pasirtimbul Island is located in the southern region of Tobelo and administratively included in the Eastern Sub-district of Tobelo. Todokuiha Village in southern Tobelo is the entrance to Pasirtimbul. You can go to this island by public transportation like mikrolet (minibus) Destination: Mawea, from Wosia station in Tobelo city and stop at Pier Todokuihua. From there, Pasirtimbul Island is only about 20 minutes away by motorized boat (ketinting).
