Plum Island (Pulau Tengah) which is often referred as "Plun Island" is a very beautiful island with an area of 19.27 hectares and has an amazing marine park. For diving and snorkeling lovers, this island is a must-visit place. Plun island is one of the attractions in East Halmahera, North Maluku province.
The beach with fine white sand will make you tempted to water play. In addition, the beach area is also spacious enough to play soccer or beach volleyball. If you love fishing, this place is appropriate, there are mackerel, barracuda, grouper, and so on. In addition, you can also find some endemic animals such as kepiting kenari (terrestrial hermit crabs), maleo bird, and so on. Of course you can explore the island which is still very natural and well-maintained. The size of the island is only 250 m wide with a length of 1 km. The access to Plun Island is quite easy, you can go by speedboat with approximately 60 minutes from Buli or about 30 minutes from the capital Maba.
