Woda Island located in Oba District, Tidore, North Maluku province. Currently, Woda Island is uninhabited. However, in the past Woda island is inhabited by the population which mostly fishermen. The origin of the population that used to occupy this island is from Mare Island, they began to settle and lived on the island until it became the main village at the time. Woda people were eventually transferred by the Government to Halmahera Island, thus it become an uninhabited island.
In Woda Island, we can still see the remnants of Woda people when they occupied the island. Now, Woda Island is developed as a tourist spot which was pioneered by Muhammad Talabudin, commonly called Koce, from the lineage of the sourdough who settled on Woda Island. Koce becomes the one who is responsible for this island and preserves the mangrove forests, coral reefs, marine fish populations, and environmental hygiene of the coast in Woda Island.
Koce built a house on the sea of Woda Island. Later, this house becomes a temporary shelter for the fishermen to take a rest at night, and also become a retreat for families and friends on holiday. With a vacation home, fishing experience, and the knowledge of fishing spot in Woda Island, supported by sea transportations in the form of two boats, then Fishing Tour Package is made in Woda. Activities you can do on Woda Island:
* Participating or seeing directly the process of catching bait fish using nets or Kofo. The participants will get down to the sea to direct the fish into the net, helping to lower and pull nets, and collecting the fish from the net.

* Walking around to see the remains of the residents who once inhabited Woda Island.
* Walking up the hill of Woda Island to see the beautiful scenery around the island in 360 degrees.
* Swimming. There is also available swimming buoys and tires.
There are many fishing spots around Woda island that can be adjusted to suit your fishing rod or fish you want to catch. Most fish species on the island is groupers (Goropa). In addition, there are many other types of fish.
